A rare native Austinite, Michael Turner co-founded Alpha Capital Management with the belief that clients deserve the highest degree of integrity, experience, and qualifications from their investment team. Like the rest of the Alpha team, he has an unwavering commitment to his clients, their goals and objectives.

 

A 30-year industry veteran, Mike is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), holds a Degree in Economics from the University of Texas (BA), as well as a Master’s Degree in Theological Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary (MA). Mike is a Registered Player Financial Advisor with the NFL Players Association (NFLPA). He has successfully met the requirements put forth by the Board of NFL Player Representatives for financial advisors in the Program. Additionally, Mike serves on the Board of Camp of the Hills, a Central Texas Chirstian ministry for at risk youths in Texas.

In his previous work experience, he was a Vice President for Salomon Smith Barney - New York in the European Equities Division. Prior to that, he was an International Portfolio Manager for the Employees Retirement System of Texas. He is a member of the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute and the Austin Society of Financial Analysts.

 

Mike and his wife live in Austin and enjoy traveling, strength training, hiking and exploring the Hill Country in their vintage Ford Bronco. They share their time and home with their three Labrador Retrievers, whom have been trained to neither fetch nor retrieve.
